USE YOUR EYES, Stand In Your Integrity, Speak UP
Don't listen to their lies. Use your EYES. Use your critical thinking skills. Our neighbors, are our community.
There is NO justification of what's been happening and the atrocities that continue to unfold. *History is repeating itself.*
ICE aren't executioners, though they’re acting as if they are. ICE are minimally trained, armed kidnappers taking unarmed people and children in broad daylight, waiting outside schools and workplaces. ICE is racially profiling people by targeting people of color, and illegally detaining them regardless of citizenship. ICE isn't protecting anyone, they're not making communities safer. ICE is HURTING our communities, ICE has been kidnapping, beating and murdering unarmed civilians across the country.
The news tries to tell us what we see with our own eyes isn't truth, they justify it to fuel their own agendas.
Don't look away.
Don't listen to their lies.
USE YOUR EYES.
Use your brain.
Check in with your humanity.
Check in with your heart.
I believe in this life time, we won't have peace. There are going to be tragedies the world has never seen before and tragedies the world repeats and we're going to have to figure out how to keep living and how to keep fighting, without losing hope.
So, don't check out. Check in on your friends, your neighbors, your community. Contact your reps (use the 5 calls app!) . Show up and support the places and spaces and people that need it most right now. We can't do it all or be all, but everyone doing a little bit adds up to a lot more than nothing at all.
*News Flash! Unless you’re of indigenous descent, YOU have benefitted from birthright citizenship and are in fact the descendant of an immigrant who is living on stolen indigenous lands that are sacred to the indigenous people whose ancestors are from here. So, believing that what ICE is doing is justifiable, is hypocritical and cruel.
*The US Constitution protects citizens AND non-citizens. ICE has been actively and repeatedly violating (at minimum) our 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th and 14th amendment rights.
America is supposed to be the home of the free, not just the home of the free for white descendants of immigrants who fit the ideal of who this current administration deems belong.

UPDATE 1/29/2026
What’s been happening? If you’re completely unaware of what’s happening and you need an update, keep reading.
Minneapolis and Minnesota Communities have been hurting for weeks. Throughout the month of January 2026, there have been an overwhelming invasion of ICE agents (over 3,000 were deployed in less than 2 weeks). Since then, our neighbors, students, and community members have been illegally and inhumanely drug out of their homes and vehicles, from work, school places, and hospitals, beaten, pepper sprayed, gassed and kidnapped by ICE agents AND murdered by ICE agents, in broad daylight. Renee Good was murdered on January 7th, 2026 and now Alex Pretti on January 24th, 2026.
Let me be clear, these are not ICE’s first murders. But, these are 2 unjustifiable murders that have hit our already hurting community deeply.
Marching alongside up to 100,000 Minnesotan’s on Friday January 23rd during the Economic Blackout ICE OUT MARCH, was powerful, heartwarming, and gave me an overwhelming sense of hope that as a community we have the power to stand up against this fascist regime, and shout loudly that immigrants are welcome here.
The following morning, this feeling of hope was annihilated following the brutal assassination of Alex Pretti in broad daylight by ICE agents, in front of Glamdoll Donuts while he was trying to assist a woman who had been shoved to the ground by ICE.
Instead of cowering in fear and hopelessness, Minnesotans have come together even stronger and more unified.
Because WE ARE stronger together.
We are Minnesotans, we are used to harsh winters - - and we aren’t afraid of a little ICE.
